Authorities in Chile and Paraguay rescue animals following cruelty reports
In Lampa, Chile, the PDI and the Rescatando Patitas Foundation rescued four dogs—three French Bulldogs and one Bull Terrier—from an uninhabited house. The animals were found in deplorable nutritional condition, with one even confined in a birdcage. Investigators are looking into whether the property served as a clandestine breeding facility and are working to locate the owner.
In Ñemby, Paraguay, the Public Ministry raided a residence in the Villa Anita neighborhood after reports of animal cruelty. Authorities rescued a mixed-breed dog that was found tied outdoors in the rain, suffering from severe skin and eye injuries and significant weight loss. A criminal case has been opened against the owner under animal protection laws.
