Authorities investigate two separate deaths in Yucatán and Oaxaca
Authorities in Mexico are investigating two separate incidents involving deceased individuals in the states of Yucatán and Oaxaca.
In Yucatán, a person was found dead among the stalls of the San Sebastián market. State Police and investigators from the State Attorney General's Office arrived at the scene to conduct preliminary proceedings. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, and officials have not determined if the death was the result of violence.
In Oaxaca, a 46-year-old livestock trader identified as Juan Daniel was found dead inside a property in the municipality of Santa María del Tule. The victim sustained a gunshot wound. Local and state police secured the area, where investigators also discovered a poster that is being analyzed to determine a possible motive for the homicide. The State Attorney General's Office of Oaxaca is leading the investigation to identify those responsible.
