Authorities investigate two separate fatal incidents in Costa Rica and Mexico

Authorities in Costa Rica and Mexico are investigating separate incidents involving the discovery of deceased men.

In San José, Costa Rica, a 51-year-old man identified by the surname Guzmán was found dead in a ditch near the La Platina bridge on the General Cañas highway. Preliminary investigations by the Judicial Investigation Organism (OIJ) suggest the victim may have been struck by a light vehicle that fled the scene. The body has been sent for autopsy.

In the municipality of Briseñas, Mexico, a man was found lifeless near the Puente de Arcos in the early hours of Friday. Civil Guard and state prosecution officials responded to the scene. While police sources suggested the death might be related to sudden mechanical suspension, forensic studies are required to confirm the cause of death.
