Authorities search for missing 73-year-old camper in Adirondack Mountains

Authorities are conducting a multi-agency search for 73-year-old Craig K. Streeter, who has been missing for more than three weeks. The search was initiated after New York State Forest Rangers discovered Streeter’s unoccupied RV at campsite 36 on Moose River Road in the town of Inlet, located within the Adirondack Mountains.

Streeter, of Mahopac, was last seen on August 2 at a Stewart’s Shop in Indian Lake. While investigators noted that Streeter is known to spend brief periods off the grid, concern has increased due to the lack of contact over several weeks. He was last seen wearing jeans and a dark-colored long-sleeved shirt.

At this stage, the New York State Police stated there are no signs of foul play. Law enforcement agencies are asking anyone who may have encountered Streeter while traveling along Moose River Road or in nearby remote camping areas to contact the New York State Police.
