Pablo Gómez arrested for femicide in Cruz del Eje

Pablo Ezequiel Gómez, 37, has been arrested in Malagueño, Córdoba, following a manhunt for his alleged role in the femicide of 24-year-old Camila Abigail Iglesias. The arrest occurred in the early hours of Monday after intelligence and surveillance operations located him in the San Nicolás area.

The investigation began after Iglesias was reported missing on October 2. During a search of the residence she shared with Gómez in the Los Altos neighborhood of Cruz del Eje, authorities discovered her remains inside a refrigerator, wrapped in a bag and covered with hydrated lime. A handwritten note was also recovered in which Gómez allegedly confessed to the crime and indicated the location of the body.

Gómez faces charges of homicide aggravated by the victim's relationship and gender-based violence. Investigators noted that the suspect had a history of domestic violence, including previous reports and convictions related to gender violence. The victim's family described a relationship characterized by control and jealousy.
