Authorities seize 297,000 liters of diesel in Tamaulipas

Authorities in Altamira, Tamaulipas, seized approximately 297,000 liters of a liquid with characteristics similar to diesel during a ministerial operation at a fuel distributor. The operation, supported by the Mexican Navy and the General Prosecutor's Office, resulted in the detention of two suspected offenders.

In addition to the fuel, officials confiscated a wide array of equipment and vehicles, including 23 tractor-trailers, 70 platform trailers, 23 dollies, an excavator, 9 cistern tanks, 3 underground cisterns, and 5 dispensing pumps. The seizure is part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal hydrocarbon storage and theft, which has seen increased activity in southern Tamaulipas since 2024.
