The suspects were apprehended while traveling in a black Ford Ranger Raptor that had a reported theft in the United States. During the operation, authorities seized an arsenal including 11 long weapons—such as AR-15, AK-47, FN SCAR, and FN P90 models—along with 2,920 rounds of ammunition, 24 magazines, four ballistic vests, and 19,400 US dollars in cash.

Octavio V. L. is allegedly linked to a recent armed attack against a state security helicopter in Coyame del Sotol, an incident that left a police officer wounded. Additionally, he is subject to an active extradition order from the United States government. The detainees and the seized items have been placed at the disposal of the relevant authorities for legal processing.
