Maruti Suzuki to Launch Facelifted Brezza and Baleno Models to Challenge Tata Nexon and Altroz
Maruti Suzuki plans to introduce two updated models in 2026. The Brezza facelift, expected in July, will feature a new 1.0‑litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 100 PS and 148 Nm, a 10.1‑inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, revised exterior styling and premium interior trims. Existing 1.5‑litre naturally aspirated petrol and CNG options will remain.
The Baleno facelift, slated for the festive season between August and October, will keep its 1.2‑litre petrol engine (90 bhp) and offer both manual and AMT gearboxes. It gains a redesigned front grille, new bumper, ambient lighting, a single‑pane sunroof, a 9‑inch infotainment screen, HUD and automatic climate control, among other upgrades. Both models aim to take on rival Tata Nexon and Altroz in the compact SUV and hatchback segments.
These launches are part of Maruti’s strategy to retain market leadership by adding premium features and modern powertrains ahead of competing manufacturers.
