Autohellas reports 2.6% EBITDA increase for H1 2026

Autohellas, part of the Vasilakis Group, reported its financial results for the first half of 2026. The group's turnover for the first half reached €501 million, representing a marginal decrease of 0.3% compared to the same period in 2025. However, EBITDA for the first half rose by 2.6% to €129.7 million. Net profits after taxes for the period were €28.5 million, a 12.3% decrease compared to the previous year.

The company's car trading and services division in Greece saw a 6.6% decline in turnover, contributing €267.2 million to the group's total. This decline is attributed to a lack of model updates from traditional brands Hyundai and Kia, as well as increased competition from new Chinese manufacturers entering the Greek market. To counter this, Autohellas is introducing new Chinese brands, including Lepas and Avatr, alongside existing brands Changan and Xpeng.

In contrast, the Hertz division, covering both car and airline activities, saw turnover growth of 6.7% in Greece (€146.6 million) and 10.6% internationally (€87.3 million). The group's total fleet includes approximately 68,700 vehicles, with 13,400 new vehicles invested during the first half of 2026.
