Automakers debut new models at Chengdu Auto Show

The 2026 Chengdu Auto Show has showcased several new vehicle models from major Chinese manufacturers.

Denza debuted the Denza Z, a high-performance electric vehicle available in Coupe, Spider convertible, and Racing versions. The flagship Racing version features a triple-motor system delivering 1605 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.96 seconds. Prices for the models range from 680,000 to 1,180,000 yuan, with a market launch expected in the fourth quarter.

SAIC Roewe introduced the Jia Yue 07, a family-oriented SUV positioned in the 150,000 yuan price segment. The vehicle features an extended-range powertrain with a combined range of 1,480 km and includes advanced interior amenities such as zero-gravity seats and an AI-powered rapid ice-making refrigerator.

Chery held the global debut of the new Arrizo 7, targeting the 100,000 yuan market. Developed with a global strategy, the vehicle underwent extreme climate and terrain testing across various international conditions. It will be available in both C-DM hybrid versions, offering a combined range of over 1,700 km, and Kunpeng gasoline versions.
