Automakers prepare new SUV debuts for Chengdu International Auto Show

Several major automotive manufacturers are set to debut new models at the Chengdu International Auto Show starting August 21.

BMW has released official images for the 2027 BMW X3, a luxury mid-size SUV featuring an updated M-style grille and an AI personal assistant powered by a large language model. The vehicle is expected to begin deliveries in September.

Dongfeng Motor is expanding its lineup with multiple releases. The Dongfeng Fengshen L8Y, a pure electric SUV, will launch at the show. Additionally, the Dongfeng Mengshi X700, a mid-to-large plug-in hybrid SUV, is expected to showcase its integration with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system.

BYD's Denza brand is also highlighting high-performance electric capabilities with the Denza N8, a large SUV capable of up to 1,003 km of range on a single charge using a 130.15 kWh battery.
