Autonomous shuttle trials expand across Île-de-France

Autonomous vehicle technology is undergoing significant testing in the Île-de-France region through two distinct experimental projects.

In Le Plessis-Trévise, RATP has launched two autonomous shuttles operating on a 4.7 km loop. Developed by Milla Car using electric Renault Master bases, these shuttles aim to evaluate safety, operational functionality, and the feasibility of simultaneous remote-supervised circulation. The service, which runs every 20 to 30 minutes, is free and scheduled to continue until at least December 31, 2026.

Simultaneously, the MOB-AUTO² project, supported by the France 2030 investment program, is testing autonomous shuttles on a section of the A10 motorway. In a global first for collective transport on an open highway, MILLA Group and VINCI Autoroutes are operating electric shuttles between Longvilliers and Massy-Palaiseau. This 28 km route aims to provide an automated alternative to individual car commuting within existing highway traffic.
