AutoTechnic Racing wins IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS title

Circle H Racing secured their first IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Grand Sport (GS) class victory at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta during the Fox Factory 120. Drivers Martin Sarukhanyan and Thomas Merrill took the win in the No. 14 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 Evo, climbing from 25th on the grid to capitalize on a mechanical failure by the race leader.

Despite the win by Circle H Racing, Austin Krainz and Stevan McAleer claimed the season GS championship driving the No. 27 AutoTechnic Racing BMW M4 GT4 EVO. Their third-place finish in the race ensured the title through season-long consistency. The result also secured BMW its eighth manufacturers’ championship in the series.

McAleer noted that a strategic mindset of “choosing the battles” was critical to securing the points lead during the final stages of the race, allowing the team to manage risks while maintaining a competitive position.
