Avellino and Cimolais host concerts by Simona Molinari and Camilla Melis

Italian singer‑songwriter Simona Molinari will perform in Avellino on 3 August. The program includes an open‑air concert in Piazza Amendola featuring songs from her seven‑album catalogue and a poetry‑music event called “Sinfonie di Versi” in the Church of Carmine, with readings and piano interludes.

Guitar virtuoso Camilla Melis will give a recital on 1 August at the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Cimolais. The concert, part of the 31st Pordenone Music Festival, will present works ranging from Andrés Segovia’s repertoire to pieces by Gian Francesco Malipiero, Joaquín Turina, Heitor Villa‑Lobos and Giovanni Podera, highlighting the link between tradition and contemporary guitar music.
