Avellino hosts Praesentia cultural and gastronomic event

The Praesentia project, titled ‘Il bosco e la vite. Maritata, fusilli e mugliatielli’, is scheduled for Monday, October 26, in Avellino at the former Bourbon Prison complex. This fourth installment of the ‘Praesentia. Gusto di Campania Divina’ initiative aims to explore the relationship between food, memory, and community in the Irpinia region.

Promoted by the Campania Region's Tourism Department, the event features museum visits, discussions on nutrition and well-being, show cooking, and Neapolitan classical music. Key participants include Anna Maria Colao, Vice President of the Higher Institute of Health, and writer Franco Arminio. Regional tourism official Enzo Maraio and ANCI Campania President Francesco Morra are also expected to attend.

The program highlights traditional Irpinian dishes such as handmade fusilli, minestra maritata, and mugliatielli to showcase the region's pastoral and agricultural heritage. The initiative is part of a broader effort to promote experiential tourism and valorize the internal areas of Campania.
