Avengers: Endgame Encore tops global box office with new footage

The re-release of Avengers: Endgame Encore has achieved significant box office success globally, earning approximately $86 million in its opening weekend. The film topped the North American charts with $26 million and saw strong performance in India, where it grossed over Rs 30 crore in five days. In France, the film reached the top three positions.

This Encore version includes four minutes of new footage and post-credit scenes designed to bridge the gap between the Infinity Saga and the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for December 18, 2026. The new scenes feature characters such as Loki, Doctor Doom, and the Time Variance Authority (TVA), and some footage is exclusive to IMAX and Infinity Vision screenings.

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo have provided insights into the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, noting its intense tone and a projected runtime of approximately two and a half hours. Meanwhile, production rumors suggest that filming for Avengers: Secret Wars may be delayed until November to accommodate additional photography for Doomsday.
