Roadworks Close Section of Avenida Minas Gerais in Apucarana

On Monday, 27 July, the municipality of Apucarana began the fourth phase of the Avenida Minas Gene­ras duplication project, rebuilding the pavement between the Unespar campus and the Metalúrgica Mecol. The work requires a temporary closure of the stretch, with traffic reduced to a single lane and drivers advised to use alternate routes. Mayor Rodolfo Mota highlighted that earlier phases were delayed by heavy rain, and that the new work will proceed once the base is dry. The reconstruction includes laying a fresh hot‑mix asphalt layer and aims to improve road safety and traffic flow for local commuters.
