Aviation disruptions hit UK and Brazil following technical failures

Major aviation disruptions occurred in both the United Kingdom and Brazil due to technical issues. In the United Kingdom, a failure in the flight processing system managed by Nats caused the cancellation of over 1,000 flights. The disruption affected 15 airports, including major hubs like London Gatwick and Heathrow, leaving passengers stranded for hours.

In Brazil, a Gol Linhas Aéreas aircraft was forced to return to Confins International Airport approximately 40 minutes after takeoff on Tuesday morning. The flight, G3 1309, was en route to Congonhas Airport in São Paulo when technical problems were identified. Gol confirmed the return was made following safety protocols and subsequently canceled the flight. Impacted passengers were reallocated to other flights in accordance with ANAC regulations.
