Avira Resources reports high-grade gold at Mt Cattlin
Avira Resources has reported high-grade gold intercepts from its maiden reverse circulation drilling at the Mt Cattlin Gold Project in Western Australia. Drilling at the Maori Queen prospect yielded a 7m intercept at 6.11 grams per tonne of gold, including a 2m section at 15.1 grams per tonne.
CEO Andrew van Bentum stated that these results confirm high-grade gold continues at depth and suggest the New Zealand Trend is emerging as a significant mineralised corridor. Assays for all 18 holes have confirmed mineralisation across a 650m strike length. The drilling program is currently paused for winter weather and is scheduled to resume in September to test further extensions.
