AVK Triglav and Kranj 75 prepare for new water polo season

Water polo clubs AVK Triglav and Kranj 75 are preparing for the 2026/27 season in Kranj. The season begins with youth competitions, followed by the cup quarterfinals on October 24.

AVK Triglav will field two teams this year: the primary AVK Triglav squad and a second team named Kranj 75. This structure is intended to provide high-quality matches for younger players. Marko Gostić has taken over as head coach of the first team, succeeding Krištof Štromajer.

The national championship schedule includes matches such as Kranj 75 hosting Koper and AVK Triglav facing Branik Maribor. The first home game for the primary AVK Triglav team is scheduled for November 14 against Ljubljana Slovan. The club's objective is to bring trophies back to Kranj, acknowledging strong competition from Maribor and Ljubljana.
