AVM discounts Fritz!Box 7690 router on Amazon and releases FritzApp updates

AVM announced a limited‑time price cut for its new Fritz!Box 7690 Wi‑Fi 7 router on Amazon, offering it for €219.99 – a 37 % discount off the €349 recommended price. The router supports VDSL‑Supervectoring, ADSL2+, and delivers up to 5.76 Gbps on the 5 GHz band and 1.376 Gbps on 2.4 GHz, with integrated Zigbee, DECT phone base and mesh networking.

At the same time AVM released updates for its MyFritz and FritzApp WLAN applications (versions 1.15.3). The upgrades fix stability issues, resolve problems where devices behind a switch did not appear in the mesh view, and correct a bug that prevented renaming repeaters during mesh setup. Both Android and iOS versions receive the improvements, which enhance network monitoring, speed testing and VPN or parental‑control configuration.
