AVM launches Fritz!Box 7630 router with Wi‑Fi 7 and integrated smart‑home features
AVM introduced the Fritz!Box 7630 in June 2026, pricing it at €299. The new model combines a DSL modem, a 2.5 Gb WAN/LAN port, three gigabit LAN ports and Wi‑Fi 7 support, including Multi‑Link Operation and Punctured Mode for higher stability in crowded radio environments. It also offers mesh networking, a DECT base station for up to six cordless phones, DECT‑ULE smart‑home control, VPN, a built‑in media server and a guest Wi‑Fi network.
The router targets households with DSL connections that need faster wireless performance for 4K streaming, cloud gaming or video calls. AVM’s broader Fritz!Box portfolio continues with higher‑end models such as the 5690 Pro (dual VDSL/fiber modems) and the 7690, while the 7630 represents a compact, Wi‑Fi 7‑enabled alternative for mid‑size homes.
