AVM releases new FritzOS beta updates for routers and repeaters

AVM has released new beta firmware updates for several Fritz devices through its laboratory program. The latest FritzOS 8.40 updates target the FritzBox 5690 Pro and 5590 Fiber, specifically addressing DECT connectivity issues where certain Gigaset phones failed to reconnect after extended security settings were enabled.

Additionally, new beta versions are available for several repeaters, including the FritzRepeater 6000, 3000 AX, and 1200 AX, as well as the FritzMesh Set 1600. These updates aim to prevent unintended restarts following changes to WLAN settings and provide general stability improvements. The FritzSmart Gateway also received an extensive firmware update containing various bug fixes and functional enhancements.
