Avolta's Hudson wins 20-year duty-free contract at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
Avolta AG, operating through its Hudson brand, has been awarded a 20-year duty-free contract at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). The agreement involves the development of more than 2,800 square meters of new travel retail space located across concourses A, N, and S.
The new retail offering is designed to incorporate local elements from Seattle and Washington State. In addition to international duty-free products, the expansion will feature locally sourced foods, gifts, and Washington State spirits. The company plans to provide immersive experiences, including dedicated tasting sessions, live performances by local artists, and installations inspired by regional glass art.
This expansion builds upon Avolta’s existing food, beverage, and retail operations at the airport. According to Steve Johnson, President and CEO of North America for Avolta, the initiative aims to transform the traveler experience through digital engagement and immersive retail environments.
