AVRAK to release debut heavy metal album in October

The Norwegian heavy metal band AVRAK has announced that its self-titled debut album will be released on October 9, 2026, via Peaceville Records. The band was formed in November 2023 by guitarists Ted Skjellum, known for his work with Darkthrone, and Anders Hegna.

Following the formation, the group added drummer Terje Kråbøl and bassist Steinar Gundersen to complete the lineup. The debut album is described as a nine-track collection blending classic heavy metal and doom rock with elements of synth and black metal. The recording was completed in February 2026 at Mølla Studio by Knut Magne Valle.

The band’s first single, ‘Unborn’, has already been released. AVRAK performed its debut show in Porsgrunn in late April 2026, with further live performances planned to support the upcoming release.
