AVULSED to release cover album “Nordic Embryogenesis” on September 9

Spanish death‑metal band AVULSED announced that its cover album “Nordic Embryogenesis” will be released on 9 September through Xtreem Music. The record compiles eleven covers of lesser‑known Scandinavian death‑metal tracks, paying tribute to the underground scene of the early 1990s.

The album opens with a rendition of Crematory’s 1990 demo song “The Exordium”. Frontman Dave Rotten called Crematory “one of the most brutal bands in the Swedish scene” and highlighted the original demo’s crushing sound. Guitarist Urban Skitt and drummer Mats Nordrup, who now perform with General Surgery, are among the members featured on the project.
