AWS releases Durable Execution SDK for Go
AWS has announced the general availability of the AWS Lambda Durable Execution SDK for Go. This SDK allows developers to build resilient, long-running, multi-step workflows using Lambda durable functions.
Key features include automatic progress checkpointing, the ability to pause execution for up to one year while waiting for external events, and support for human-in-the-loop workflows through callback integration. The SDK is designed to work with existing Go tools and includes a 'durabletest' package for local testing and a 'durablelint' analyzer to prevent workflow breakage during resumption.
Performance comparisons indicate that the Go SDK provides faster execution times for sequential steps compared to previous versions of the Python SDK.
