Axel Kicillof leads Movimiento Derecho al Futuro plenary in Avellaneda

Axel Kicillof, Governor of Buenos Aires, led the first federal plenary of the Movimiento Derecho al Futuro (MDF) in Avellaneda. The event, which drew over 30,000 participants, focused on building a national political alternative to the administration of Javier Milei.

During the plenary, Kicillof emphasized a bottom-up organizational approach, stating he is not interested in a political construction managed “at remote control.” He called for a movement that incorporates various sectors beyond the traditional Peronist structure to create a viable national alternative. While he did not officially launch a 2027 presidential candidacy, he expressed a willingness to be part of a political alternative for Argentina in the coming year.

The gathering included ten thematic debate tables addressing critical issues such as education, health, security, science, technology, and public works. Kicillof criticized current economic policies, arguing that the country is missing historical opportunities for development and that the current administration's model is causing significant hardship for families.
