Axel Kicillof visits Misiones to sign cooperation agreements
Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof visited Misiones to meet with Governor Hugo Passalacqua, signing several cooperation agreements focused on security, biotechnology, and agro-industrial development. The visit included tours of the Biofábrica Misiones and the Escuela Secundaria de Innovación, as well as a meeting with the Las Tunas yerba mate cooperative to discuss the impact of national deregulation on local producers.
During the trip, Kicillof used the platform to criticize President Javier Milei’s economic policies, arguing that the national government is abandoning provinces and causing industrial decline. He specifically targeted the potential elimination of the PASO primary elections, suggesting it is a move to prevent political opposition from organizing.
Simultaneously, the province of Buenos Aires held its 4th Productive Congress in La Plata, where officials discussed industrial challenges and the loss of formal employment. In Entre Ríos, Governor Rogelio Frigerio defended the elimination of lifetime pensions for provincial leaders and raised concerns regarding the electoral system.
