Axel Kicillof restores institutional dialogue with Mar del Plata Mayor

Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof has confirmed the restoration of institutional dialogue with Guillermo Montenegro, the mayor of General Pueyrredon. Kicillof stated that Montenegro contacted him directly upon resuming his executive duties, and communication channels are now open with provincial cabinet ministers to coordinate joint agendas.

Kicillof emphasized that despite political and partisan differences, the priority remains coordinating management for the benefit of the community in Mar del Plata. The provincial administration is continuing to allocate budget funds to the district and is increasing the presence of security forces to address urban demands and prepare for the upcoming summer season.

Additionally, the Governor addressed the local socio-economic situation, linking recent unemployment indicators to the national economic model. He reaffirmed the province's commitment to providing technical and financial assistance to the municipality to mitigate current local challenges.
