Dominican Republic police report multiple violent incidents and arrests

The Dominican Republic National Police have reported several significant criminal incidents across different regions. In Barahona, 19-year-old Axel Naviosky Ferreras, known as ‘Cutico’, surrendered to authorities in Santo Domingo after his legal team alleged that local police in Barahona refused to receive him. Ferreras is accused of participating in a shooting on October 18 that wounded a police officer and another man.

In Santiago, Oliver Rojas Núñez, alias ‘Chuky’ or ‘El Menor’, was killed during a confrontation with agents from the Criminal Investigation Subdirectorate (Dicrim). Rojas Núñez was wanted for multiple offenses, including homicide and domestic violence.

In Nagua, authorities are investigating the death of Anderson Santos, alias ‘Vaguito’. A suspect identified as ‘Carlos’ is being sought after a witness, Brayan Cius, claimed a dispute over 200 pesos during a drug transaction led to the fatal shooting and subsequent burial of the victim's body.
