Ayacucho firms project $12.3 million in export deals after Peru's Los Andes Expo

Twelve companies from the Ayacucho region took part in the international business round of the Expo Perú Los Andes, held in Huancavelica. The participants anticipate generating US$12,299,250 in export contracts over the next year, according to PromPerú Ayacucho coordinator Ángel Enríquez.

Ayacucho led regional participation with twelve exporters, followed by Junín (nine) and Huancavelica (seven). Four agribusiness firms – Granos Altoandinos, Wiraccocha del Perú, Cooperativa Frutos del Ande and Inka Super Foods – showcased quinoa, chia, kiwicha, amaranth, turmeric and related products. Eight textile and craft firms displayed home‑decor items, fabrics and traditional handicrafts.

Buyers from Germany, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, South Korea, Denmark, the United States, France, Mexico, the Netherlands and Taiwan met with the exporters and later visited processing plants and workshops to assess production methods and deepen negotiations.
