Ayacucho's Regional Agriculture Directorate faces audit over hiring and organizational failures

An audit report presented to the Ayacucho Regional Council has raised concerns regarding the Dirección Regional de Agricultura (DRA) for failing to fully implement its new organizational model. Despite the approval of a new Manual of Operations (MOP) in December 2025, the agency continues to operate under its previous structure due to missing essential management instruments, such as job profile manuals and personnel assignment charts.

The audit also scrutinized the hiring of 96 employees under the Legislative Decree No. 276 regime. Officials were unable to provide administrative documentation—including public calls, evaluation reports, or merit lists—to verify if these hires followed legal procedures or merit-based criteria. The report recommends that the regional governor take administrative measures to complete the MOP implementation and regularize personnel documentation.
