Aydın Reservoirs Fill to 62% as Lakes Reach 83% Average

In the Turkish province of Aydın, water levels in key agricultural reservoirs have risen sharply. On 23 July 2026 the overall reservoir fill rate was reported at 62%, up from just 16% a year earlier on the same date.

The province’s twenty ponds showed an average fill of 83%. Individual dams recorded the following levels: Kemer Dam at 60%, Çine Adnan Menderes at 66%, Gökbel at 93%, İkizdere at 47%, Topçam at 80%, Karpuzlu‑Yaylakavak at 58%, Karacasu at 93% and the large Adıgüzel Dam at 20%. The data were presented at the Aydın Provincial Coordination Board meeting and are closely watched by local farmers who depend on these water sources for irrigation.
