Çaykur Rizespor announces new stadium and academy plans

Çaykur Rizespor President Ali Zeki Saruhan has announced a major vision for the club and the city of Rize, focusing on modernizing sports infrastructure. The plan includes the construction of a new UEFA-standard sports complex with a capacity of 25,000 to 30,000 spectators to replace the current stadium, which is deemed insufficient in terms of transport, parking, and facilities.

Additionally, the club aims to establish a comprehensive youth academy base. With the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the land currently occupied by the Çaykur Cumhuriyet Tea Factory is expected to be transferred to the club. This site will be transformed into an academy hub to address the current shortage of training facilities for the club's approximately 200 young players.
