Ayodhya prepares for Deepotsav 2026 Diwali celebrations

Ayodhya is preparing for Deepotsav 2026, a major Diwali celebration scheduled to take place from November 6 to November 8, with the primary event occurring on November 7. The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has developed a comprehensive plan to decorate the city with Ramayana-themed installations, ranging from major intersections to the Saryu riverbanks.

Key attractions will include decorative gates, wayfinders, and selfie points at Ram Katha Park and Ram ki Paidi. The festivities will feature artistic installations such as depictions of the Ram Rath and Pushpak Viman, as well as floats on the Saryu River. To enhance the visitor experience, 3D artworks and themed LED lighting will be utilized at the Ram Katha Park stage, which is being renovated with new sound and light systems, floral decorations, and traditional motifs.
