Nigerian Afrobeats star Ayra Starr confirmed that her third studio album, titled "Starr Girl," will be released on August 14, 2026. The announcement followed a previous reveal on The Jennifer Hudson Show and was later shared on her social‑media platforms. The album, her first full‑length project since the 2024 release "The Year I Turned 21," is expected to blend Afrobeats with R&B, pop and alternative influences and may include tracks such as “All the Love,” “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid, “Hot Body” and “Where Do We Go.” No official tracklist or guest list has been released.

Starr also disclosed that she recently underwent major surgery, describing the recovery as more complicated than anticipated. She apologized to fans for reduced online activity, said she needs rest before returning, and urged supporters to pre‑order the upcoming album.
