Ayra Starr releases new album ‘Starrgirl’

Afrobeats artist Ayra Starr has released her third studio album, ‘Starrgirl’, through Mavin Records and Republic Records. The 16-track project features collaborations with artists including Zayn, Wizkid, Rema, and Danny Ocean, blending Afrobeats, R&B, and pop.

Following the release, the album reached number one on the Apple Music Nigeria Top Albums chart within four hours. It also debuted at number ten on the Apple Music South Africa chart. Prior to the album's launch, Starr surpassed 3.9 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, making her the second African female artist to reach that milestone.

To celebrate the launch in Lagos, Nigeria, a purple firework display was held at the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.
