Azerbaijan and Turkey Sign Shusha Declaration to Boost Regional Security

Azerbaijan and Turkey signed the Shusha Declaration in the historic city of Shusha, a symbol of cultural memory for both nations. The agreement builds on long‑standing ties rooted in shared history, language and strategic interests.

The declaration pledges mutual defence support, enhanced coordination of security affairs and the creation of a new regional security architecture in the South Caucasus. It also opens avenues for cooperation in energy security, transport corridors, defence projects and broader economic integration, aiming to shape the future strategic landscape of the region.
