Azerbaijan marks State Sovereignty Day following Karabakh restoration

Azerbaijan marks September 20 as State Sovereignty Day, commemorating the restoration of full state authority across its territory. This follows the anti-terror measures launched on September 19, 2023, in the Karabakh economic region.

The operations, which lasted 23 hours and 43 minutes, aimed to prevent provocations and restore the constitutional order. The results of these actions led to the dissolution of separatist structures in Karabakh, fulfilling the long-standing goal of ensuring Azerbaijani law and state governance throughout the entire country.
