Azerbaijan advances digital transformation via AI and cloud solutions

Azerbaijan is advancing its digital transformation through several key technological initiatives. At the ICTWEEK Uzbekistan 2026 event in Tashkent, AzInTelecom presented its capabilities in cloud technologies, biometric identification, and artificial intelligence. The company highlighted Azerbaijan’s first Supercomputer Center, which provides the high-performance computing resources necessary for domestic AI development and innovation.

In the public service sector, Azerigas has integrated the SİMA digital signature into its business processes. This allows subscribers to sign gas supply contracts digitally via the ‘mygov’ platform or at ASAN service centers, eliminating the need for physical paperwork or in-person visits. This move aligns with the ‘Digital Development Concept of the Republic of Azerbaijan’ to modernize state services.

Additionally, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SpaceXAI. The agreement aims to explore the application of ‘Grok’ AI models within government services and other priority areas of Azerbaijan’s digital transformation to improve the efficiency and accessibility of public institutions.
