Azizulhasni Awang's LA28 Olympic planning sought by PKBM

The National Cycling Federation of Malaysia (PKBM) is seeking strategic coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) and the National Sports Council (MSN) to develop a roadmap for track cyclist Datuk Azizulhasni Awang for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

PKBM President Datuk Amarjit Singh Gill emphasized the need for early planning, noting that qualification requires accumulating points at the World Track Championships following the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The federation is requesting special consideration or flexibility within the ‘Road to Gold’ guidelines to ensure the 38-year-old athlete can manage training, competition participation, and sponsor commitments effectively.
