Azores Government conducts anti-corruption awareness for students

The Azores Government, through the Corruption Prevention and Transparency Office (GPCT), has conducted awareness sessions for approximately 300 students across 20 classes in São Miguel and Corvo.

Part of the national ‘Days of Integrity and Anti-Corruption’ initiative, the program was organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Justice, and the National Anti-Corruption Mechanism (MENAC). The sessions, aimed at primary and secondary school students, focused on ethics, transparency, integrity, and civic responsibility.

Professionals from the legal, public administration, and academic sectors led the discussions to foster a culture of integrity and encourage students to understand their role in preventing corruption and defending the public interest.
