Azul Conecta expands regional operations in Brazil
Azul Conecta has expanded its regional aviation footprint in Brazil through new aircraft deployments and route launches. The company’s first Cessna 408 SkyCourier, registration PS-ENE, has arrived in Manaus to serve as a base for operations in the North region. This twin-engine aircraft, which carries 19 passengers, will initially focus on chartered flights and dedicated operations, including a four-year contract with Petrobras to transport workers between Manaus, Porto Urucu, and Carauari.
In the state of Santa Catarina, Azul Conecta is launching new regional routes as part of the VOA+SC program, a government-led initiative. Using Cessna Caravan aircraft with nine-passenger capacity, the service will connect 10 cities to boost local tourism and the economy. The program includes state support such as airport renovations and aviation fuel tax reductions.
