Azul expands Brazilian flight network with new summer routes

Azul Linhas Aéreas has announced a significant expansion of its flight operations in Brazil for the 2026/2027 summer season. In Goiânia, the airline will add 155 extra flights between December 5, 2026, and February 14, 2027, providing approximately 25,400 additional seats. This expansion includes new seasonal routes to Fortaleza, João Pessoa, Natal, and Porto Alegre, the latter being a first for the Goiânia seasonal schedule.

In addition to these new routes, Azul will increase frequencies to existing destinations from Goiânia, including Maceió, Porto Seguro, and Recife. Recife remains a major hub for the company, offering connections to over 33 national and international locations.

Separately, a new direct route has been inaugurated connecting Belo Horizonte to Aracati and Fortaleza. Operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, this route aims to boost tourism in the Ceará coastline, specifically the Canoa Quebrada region, by improving connectivity between the Southeast and Northeast regions of Brazil.
