Azul expands flight network for 2026/2027 summer season

Azul has announced a significant expansion of its flight network for the 2026/2027 summer season, adding 2,500 extra flights and approximately 370,000 seats across Brazil. The Northeast region will be the primary beneficiary, accounting for 46.7% of the additional capacity with roughly 1,150 extra flights.

Maceió is set to be the destination with the highest increase in service, receiving 349 extra operations connecting to 13 different locations. Key routes include 137 additional flights between Congonhas (São Paulo) and Maceió, and 114 operations between Maceió and Viracopos (Campinas).

Additionally, Azul Viagens is introducing new direct routes to Natal from Goiânia and Curitiba between December 2026 and January 2027. This expansion follows a period of growth for Natal's aviation sector, which saw over 1.3 million passengers in the first half of 2026, marking an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
