Azul expands Minas Gerais operations with 512 extra flights

Azul Brazilian Airlines is increasing its operations in Minas Gerais to accommodate high demand during the summer season. Between December 5, 2026, and February 14, 2027, the airline will add 512 extra flights, providing more than 77,000 additional seats.

Belo Horizonte/Confins International Airport will serve as a primary hub for this expansion, strengthening connections to various destinations including the Northeast, Florianópolis, and Brasília. The airline also plans to bolster connectivity within Minas Gerais, adding flights to Ipatinga, Montes Claros, and Uberlândia. To manage the peak travel periods around Christmas and New Year's Eve, Azul will operate 18 extra flights from Confins on both December 24 and December 31.
