B.C. Conservative leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay has terminated caucus operations director Apollo Chung, effective immediately. Findlay announced the decision via a brief written statement, though she provided no specific details regarding the firing.

Chung, who was hired following Findlay’s election as leader on May 30, previously worked for the Republican Party of Alberta.

The dismissal occurs during a period of significant instability for the B.C. Conservative Party. Within the last two weeks, four Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) have left the caucus to sit as Independents. Additionally, the party’s executive has seen major departures in the past month, including the resignations of party president Aisha Estey and executive director Angelo Isidorou. Numerous mid- and low-level staff members have also reportedly quit or been removed from their positions.
