B. Nagendra: High Court relaxes travel restrictions amid ED probe

The Karnataka High Court has relaxed a bail condition for Minister B. Nagendra regarding the Maharshi Valmiki Development Corporation fund misappropriation case. Previously, Nagendra was required to obtain court permission before traveling outside the state. The court has now allowed him to travel within India, though it clarified that this does not grant permission to leave the country.

However, Nagendra faces scrutiny from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over allegations that he violated previous bail conditions. It is alleged that he traveled to New Delhi on July 15 and July 26 without prior judicial approval. Opposition leaders have called for his removal from the cabinet following these allegations. The ED is reportedly reviewing evidence of these trips and may approach the court to seek the cancellation of his bail if the violations are confirmed.
