Ba Vi Safari Park project breaks ground in Hanoi
Hanoi authorities have officially broken ground on the Ba Vi Safari Park project, a large-scale ecotourism and conservation initiative. Located in Ba Vi commune, approximately 60km west of Hanoi, the project covers roughly 299 hectares. Developed by Sun Group, the park is designed with a tropical theme and is situated entirely outside the boundaries of the Ba Vi National Park to ensure separation from protected forest spaces.
The project aims to integrate animal conservation, nature experiences, environmental education, and high-quality tourism services. Approximately 81.8% of the total area will be dedicated to greenery and water bodies to serve as ecological corridors. Designed by the US-based firm PGAV Destinations, the park is expected to host up to 6 million visitors annually upon completion.
The investment for the safari park is estimated at over 6,500 billion VND, though some reports suggest preliminary proposals reached 10,000 billion VND. This project is part of a broader series of 18 major infrastructure and development works launched by Hanoi to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.
